Liquidpub Wishlist

From LiquidPubWiki

This wiki is being used as a first test platform for the Liquidpub project. However a dedicated platform, that will extend and improve the functionalities offered by this wiki, is also to be implemented as one of the objectives of the project.

As such, this section of the wiki will be used to capture suggestions and aspects that the current users consider important for the implementation of the final Liquidpub platform and also of the current wiki platform.

Citation tools & complex characters

We need a coherent way of handling bibliographies for an individual and for a group.

We need to add the reference/citation tools used by MediaWiki: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Cite/Cite.php

Currently they are not enabled. It makes putting footnotes and so on into complex texts a real bugger.

It would also be nice if when editing there could appear a box of complex characters (accents, etc.) as per Wikipedia. :-) —Joe 15:35, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Session lifetime

It happened to me while writing, that my session expires. In my opinion, it should never expires or at least be long enough. Marcos

I noted also that sessions were somehow "unstable", but resolved by selecting the "Remember me" checkbox on the wiki login page: did you do the same? --mario 15:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Interwiki links

This is sort of a "preventive feature": now you could use interwiki links to link pages belonging to other wikis outside this very one; see Help:Contents#Interwiki links --mario 15:13, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
